# Run in Yaak (/docs/guides/run-in-yaak)

The "Run in Yaak" button lets readers import your API into [Yaak](https://yaak.app) in one click, with every request ready to send.

```json title="yaakdoc.config.json"
{
  "runInYaak": true
}
```

The button opens [Yaak's import link](https://yaak.app/button/new) with the URL of an export that yaakdoc publishes at `<base>/yaak.json`.

## What the published export contains [#what-the-published-export-contains]

Your export may contain more than you'd like to share, so yaakdoc publishes a sanitized copy:

- **Only what's documented:** the documented workspace, and the folders and requests that passed the [filter](/docs/guides/navigation#leaving-requests-out).
- **No private environments.**
- **No secrets.** Secret variables, headers and auth fields are blanked, and `secure(...)` values and the workspace's encryption key challenge are removed. Variable references such as `${[ api_token ]}` are kept, so the requests still work once readers add their own values.

## Options [#options]

```json title="yaakdoc.config.json"
{
  "runInYaak": {
    "name": "Acme API",
    "url": "https://api.acme.dev/openapi.json"
  }
}
```

- **`name`** is the name shown in Yaak when importing. It defaults to the site title.
- **`url`** links to an export or spec hosted elsewhere. yaakdoc then doesn't publish its own.

Set [`branding.url`](/docs/guides/branding#site-url) so the link is absolute in the HTML. Otherwise, it's made absolute in the browser.
